SVC Human Excellence Scholarship Scheme
We need to appreciate, recognize and reward students who imbibe the universal values of integrity, respect, compassion and sacrifice, team-work and dignity of labour etc. being taught at our College. Swami Vivekananda said:
Let us proclaim to every soul: Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached. Arise, awake! Awake from this hypnotism of weakness. None is really weak; the soul is infinite, omnipotent and omniscient. Stand up, assert yourself, proclaim the God within you, do not deny Him! De-hypnotise yourselves.
Teach yourselves, teach every one his real nature, call upon the sleeping soul and see how it awakens. Power will come, glory will come, goodness will come, purity will come and everything that is excellent will come when this sleeping soul is roused to self-conscious activity. Thus the College places great emphasis on it ideal of "Man-making, Character-building education." To give this aspect of education its due importance the Swami Vivekananda Human Excellence Award scheme has been instituted at the College.

The students also assess themselves on the above criteria. At the end of the year each form teacher recommends three boys and three girls to the level Dean who short lists two boys and two girls for the Scholarship Committee (consisting of the College Manager, Principal, Vice-Principal, Assistant Principal and other committee members) to make the final selection. The selected candidates are awarded a certificate during the Annual function and full college fees for the following year.
There are 27 forms in the College and thus 54 scholarships are needed for the scheme. The current fee scheme is as follows:

These scholarships are supported by our well-wishers and ex-students.
